Preparation for Pending Inclement Weather -April 2&3

With further inclement weather pending the Township is encouraging residents to have a 72 hour emergency kit in place. Although the weather forecasted for Wednesday and Thursday isn't anticipated to be as impactful as this past weekends ice storm, we are strongly recommending to prepare for power outages as there are some areas still without power.

Warming Centre Available -During Storm Clean Up

Warming Centre at Keeler Centre Arena – Open for Residents Affected by Power Outages

Now that the Keeler Centre has power, the Township of Cramahe will be opening a warming centre at the Keeler Centre Arena, located at 80 Division Street, in response to the recent ice storm and power outages. The warming centre will be available Monday-Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Residents are welcome to: • Charge their electronics • Warm up • Access hot showers • Gather water Please note: • All children must be supervised at all times. • No food services will be provided. The warming centre is dependent on stable power. Power outages have been occurring, so availability may change – please stay updated.

We encourage residents in need to take advantage of this service while it's available. The Colborne Library, 6 King Street West, is open from 11am to 8pm, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday. Washrooms and a warm space are available.

Burn Permit Notice

Friendly reminder as per By-Law 2024-29

Effective January 1, 2025, an annual fee of $30.00 will now apply for Burn Permits in Cramahe Township.

To renew or register for a permit, please visit https://cramahe.burnpermits.com if you have not already done so.

Payments are required within 30 days of submitting your permit or renewal and can be made in person at Townhall (1 Toronto St., P.O. Box 357, Colborne, ON K0K 1S0) via cash, debit, or cheque. Alternatively, you may mail a cheque to the Township of Cramahe, ensuring to include the Permit number and note "Burn Permit Payment."
